The LCSA was founded and incorporated in late 2012 by employees from all levels of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office as a not-for-profit organization. Immediately, as interests grew, the association opened its doors to of the Lake County States Attorney’s Office, the Lake County Coroner’s Office, and the Nineteenth Judicial Court of Lake County, In 2016, the Lake County Sheriff’s Association continued to expand to include the Lake County Forest Preserve Police, and the College of Lake County Police.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Association will never use phone solicitation to help raise funds, and is financed solely by its membership and the assistance we receive from the community. The association is also a non-political association and is not affiliated with any political party or office; therefore, will not involve in political endorsements of any kind.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Association board consists of a President, two Vice Presidents, and Secretary, a Treasurer, a Sergeant at Arms, a Chaplain, an Immediate Past President, and a maximum of 15 Trustees. The extensiveness of the executive board enables us to have a dedicated voice in each division of the Sheriff’s Office and in each agency that is represented.
