The Lake County Sheriff’s Association was founded and incorporated in late 2012 by employees from all levels of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office as a not-for-profit organization. Immediately, as interests grew, the association opened its doors to of the Lake County States Attorney’s Office, the Lake County Coroner’s Office, and the Nineteenth Judicial Court of Lake County, In 2016, the Lake County Sheriff’s Association continued to expand to include the Lake County Forest Preserve Police, and the College of Lake County Police.
In 2012, as a way to raise money for this new association, the Lake County Sheriff’s Association created a “Founding Members” status to anyone that joined prior to the association being incorporated. Founding member status was only available during the inception, and will not be reintroduced.
In December 2012, just a few months after incorporating, the Lake County Sheriff’s Association conducted it’s first annual Shop With A Sheriff program, which provided gifts to underprivileged children in Lake County. Because of the success of this program, the association uses the majority of its donations gained throughout the year to make this event bigger and better every year.
If you or your organization would like to help a future Shop With A Sheriff program please contact one of our board members, or you can make an online donation using the donate box to the left.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Association will never use phone solicitation to help raise funds, and is financed solely by its membership and the assistance we receive from the community. The association is also a non-political association and is not affiliated with any political party or office; therefore, will not involve in political endorsements of any kind.
